Confucius China Studies Program Introduction Meeting

The Confucius China Studies Program 2020-2021 PhD Program applications have started. In order to help students better understand and apply for the Confucius China Studies Program, a teacher from the Division of Sinology and China Studies at the Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban will be holding a Confucius China Studies Program Introduction Meeting, in order to answer various questions from interested students, at the Meeting Room 1, No. 1 International Students dormitory on Monday, December 23, 2019, 15:30-17:30.

 Welcome current Chinese-taught master’s and undergraduate students interested in the "Confucius China Studies Program" to participate in the meeting.


Confucius China Studies Program

In order to foster deep understanding of China and the Chinese culture among young generations from around the world, enable the prosperous growth of China studies, promote the sustainable development of Confucius Institutes, and enhance the friendly relationship between China and the people of other countries, the Confucius Institute Headquarters has set up the “Confucius China Studies Program”.

The Program consists of six subprograms in the academic areas of Humanities and Social Sciences.

IJoint Research Ph.D. Fellowship

Support doctoral students (candidates) registered with foreign universities to come to China for study, research and writing of their doctoral dissertations.

Funding: Lodging and living stipend; Research fund; Round-trip international airfare; Tuition; Other support provided by the host Chinese university; Expenses for the foreign supervisor’s visit or research in China; Expenses for life and medical insurances in China; Group activities and cultural experience.

II. Ph.D. in China Fellowship

Support foreign students to pursue full-time Ph.D. degrees in the humanities and social sciences at Chinese universities.

Funding: Lodging and living stipend; Research fund; Round-trip international airfare; Tuition; Other support provided by the host Chinese university; Expenses for life and medical insurances in China; Group activities and cultural experience.
