With China's rapid economic growth and growing presence on the world stage, the knowledge of Chinese law has become an essential resource for international students and legal professionals engaged with China. Beijing Normal University Law School has established the LL.M. Program in Chinese Law to address the needs of an international community seeking a comprehensive and systematic understanding of Chinese law from a first-rate legal institution. This program provides an intensive instruction in Chinese law. Leading faculty members will offer Chinese law courses specially designed for international students. Teaching will comprise of both lectures and small-group seminars. Additionally, Beijing Normal University regularly attracts top scholars and practitioners in Chinese law and students will have first-hand access to such distinguished presenters. There are also optional subjects in non-law areas such as politics, economy and society to facilitate students’ understanding of China's culture.

1. BNU Application Form for International Students (upon completion of the online application form it must be downloaded and printed. Please attach a photo and ensure that the application form is signed by the applicant)

2. Completed Personal Statement Form(Please download and print the form, （Masters） this form should be signed by the applicant)

3. Recommendation letters from two associate professors or scholars with higher academic titles. There is no specified format for the recommendation letters and all letters must be signed by the referee.

4. An original or notarized copy of the undergraduate academic transcripts and bachelor’s degree certificate and graduation certificate (in English ) for master application;

5. Applicants who are non-native English speaker should provide a certificate of their English proficiency (please refer to the school prospectus for more details).

6. One passport-sized photo (with the name of the applicant and the school applied for written on the back)

7. One photocopy of the first page of applicant’s passport (this must be a valid, ordinary passport)

8. Please submit any published academic papers, patents, or other academic achievements (originals or copies if applicant has)

9. 600 RMB Application Fee

Note:All documents should be written in English; Application materials and registration fee will not be returned.

1. Register an account at http://apply.bnu.edu.cn and apply online. Complete and print Beijing Normal University International Students Application Form, sign and attach 1 passport photo. 
2. Pay application fee

Option 2: Come to the International Students Office in person and pay 600RMB
3. Send the application documents via mail or hand deliver to the International Students Office.
