Part one:General Regulation

1.In order toencourage studentsto obtain a degreehere inBNU, to have outstanding performance in technology innovation, academic research, and social service, toachieve integrated developmentand to make an achievement.we provide BNU Scholarship for International Degree Students

TheEvaluation of BNU Scholarship for International Degree Studentsis a fair and equityprogram.

ParttwoApplicant Qualifications

2.Reward only goes to BNU degree students (bachelor, master degree and PhD students)

a)Students who apply for the scholarship must abide by the laws and regulations of PRC and obey BNU rules. They must work hard with great enthusiasm, be of good conduct, respect teachers and be friendly to the Chinese.

b)Undergraduate students:: study in majors, with excellent performance. No grades below 70.

Graduate students: no grades below 75, must have some achievements on scientific research.

c)Be active in all kinds of events, and be enthusiastic for all activities.

d)The students who extend their study duration cannot apply this scholarship

Part three: Quota for BNU scholarships

3.The reward goes to BNU International Degree Students including undergraduate, graduate and PhD students.

It comes in first price scholarship and second price scholarship. The students who get Chinese government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, Beijing Government Scholarship, BNU Scholarship or any other scholarship which is provided by other organization can apply BNU Scholarship for International Degree Students and get scholarship by the standard of scholarship students.or other institute.

Part four: Scholarship Evaluation Process

5.Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship with related documents.

6.All the schools/colleges will be fairly select students who receive scholarships at first round and then recommend the students to International Students Office.ISO invite professional evaluation panel to rank all the applicants and to decide the list of winners according to applicants’ application.

7.The final result will be announced on official website of BNU international Students Office for seven days. If there is no objection on the results, the final result will be confirmed. If the student has any questions or suggestions of the evaluation please feel free to talk to ISO. ISO should give feedback to the students, report and get approved by the leader within five days by making comprehensive survey. This result will be the final result.

8.There will be a meeting for those students who received the scholarship and they will receive the scholarship and certificate.

Part five: Standard of evaluation

9.Standards for undergraduate students :

a)Academic grades: the grades student received from the previous year (retake grades will not be calculated). We will calculate the average grades.

This is how we will calculate:

Grades=Course credits x exam grades

GPA=(Course credits x Exam grades) /Course credits

b)Comprehensivequalities:

Beingactive in all kinds of activitieswhich are hold by BNU and the schools/colleges, be active in social work and volunteer service.Attending inall kinds of competition and hopefully receive an award.

10.StandardForgraduatestudents:

a)Have outstanding performance,public academic papers, have achievement on scientific research and makeinventions.
