School of Chinese Language and Literature is one of the
first schools established in Beijing Normal University. Famous poets and
writers such as Lu Xun, Li Jinxi, Yu Jiaxi, Yang Shuda whom once taught in the
school attributes to its rich history.
Beijing Normal University International Writers Centre was established in the name of the school’s Nobel Prize winner and alumni, Mo Yan. The School of Chinese Language and Literature currently offers 19 postgraduate specializations, taught by many notable professors.
