2019-2020 BNU Yearly Scholarship Application for Current International Degree Students

In order to encourage and support excellent current international students, BNU establishes “BNU Yearly Scholarship for Current International Degree Students” project. “BNU Yearly Scholarship for Current International Degree Students” Assessment Committee is responsible for the assessment and award, with the administration of the project.

           Application details for the academic year 2019~2020 are as follows:

I. Grade, Type, Value & Quotas

Note:

Scholarship students are the students who benefit from the Chinese Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, Beijing Municipal Government International Students Scholarships, Beijing Normal University scholarship or other kinds of scholarship which is provided by other organizations during Sept. 2019 and Jul. 2020.

II．Selection Procedure

Personal Application -> College/School Review -> University Review -> Announcement of university review results -> Official Announcement of Award List

III. Applicant Qualifications

1. Applicants should be BNU current degree program international students finished at least one academic year’s study. Applicants are expected to be in good health and shall obey the laws and regulations in China.

2. Undergraduate applicants are required to study according to the professional teaching plan with excellent scores, and without absenting from any exam, and the score of each course cannot be below 70 during Sept. 2019 and Jul. 2020.

Graduate applicants are required to study following the professional teaching plan with excellent scores and outstanding academic achievements, and the score of each course cannot be below 75 during Sept. 2019, Jul. 2020.

3. Applicants are excepted to actively participate school activities, dedicate to social services and contribute to the country, the society and the school.

Note: The students who extend their study duration cannot apply this scholarship.

IV. Application Time

Please submit all the application materials during the working hours of Tuesday, October 27, 2020 – Wednesday, October 28, 2020 (8:00-11:30 and 14:00-17:30), to International Student Office (Jingshi Building 9910).

Applicants who are currently outside China could scan all application materials and send them to the following email address latest by 17:30 on October 28, 2020. The email subject should be "2019-2020 BNU Yearly Scholarship for Current International Degree Students + student number + student name".

V. Application Materials

1. BNU Yearly Scholarship for Current International Degree Students Application Form

Note: Applicants need to finish the Parts of “Basic Information” “Personal Statement” and “Supervisor’s Comment”.

2. Table of Published Academic Papers (if any)

3. Original transcripts between Sept. 2019 and Jul. 2020 with the stamp of College/School or Graduate School.

4. Other related supporting materials, such as certificate of award, academic achievements or publications (please provide the photocopy of the cover, the table of contents, and the front page of the publication, and fill in the Table of Published Academic Papers ).

Note: The awards and publications to be submitted should be the ones that were achieved between Sep, 2019 and Aug, 2020 with Beijing Normal University undersigned.

Materials submitted will not be returned, whether you are awarded or not.

VI. Award and Announcement

The awards list will be announced before Nov. 30, 2020 at the website of BNU International Students Office.
