Notice on Application for Extension of CSC Scholarship PhD Students (2021-2022)

I. Application Eligibility

Applicants must be PhD students (current CSC scholarship recipients) who expect to graduate in July 2021 or January 2022 but are planning to apply for study and scholarship extension, with good performance and hardworking attitude.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

(1) have participated and passed the scholarship annual review (see separate notice on annual review)

(2) have completed proposal defense

(3) have passed mid-term assessment

(4) the scholarship duration can be extended for a maximum of one year during your study

II. Application Documents

(1) Beijing Normal University Change of Student Status Form for International Graduate Students

(2) Form for Scholarship Extension of Chinese Government Scholarship Status

III. Application Procedure

(1) If you have not yet extended the study period, please download and complete “Beijing Normal University Change of Student Status Form for International Students” (see Attachment 1), complete and send to the international student coordinator of your faculty/school/department. You do not have to re-apply if you have already extended the study period.

(2) Please download and complete “Application for Extension of Scholarship for Chinese Government Scholarship Students” (“Application Form” in short, see Attachment 2), submit to International Students Office (9910 Jingshi Building) before 17:30, April 30, 2021 (UTC/GMT+08:00).

Students who are currently abroad please send scanned copy of the “Application Form” to: isp@bnu.edu.cn with the title of “Your Student No. + Your Name + CSC Scholarship Extension Application Documents” before the above date and time.

ATTENTION: Any late or incomplete applications shall NOT be processed.
