RMB is the only currency used in China. The currency is abbreviated as RMB, and its unit is denoted in Yuan. RMB comes in 10 denominations, namely 100yuan, 50yuan, 20yuan, 10yuan, 5yuan, 1yuan, 50 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents, 1 cent. 1 yuan, 50 cents, 10 cents, 5 cents and 1 cent come in coins and everything else is in notes.Money Exchange
GBP, HKD, EUR, USD, JPY, CAD, AUD and other currencies can be exchanged to RMB.The following 7 types of cards can be used to exchange money in China as well: American Express, Mastercard, VISA, Dinner’s Club Card, JCB, Million Card, Federal Card Please only change money at the bank and not with random strangers, to avoid being scammed. Branches of major national banks such as Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Construction Bank of China are all situated near school.
